The various movements are incorporated in the church purposely to serve as an avenue or a forum for the equipping of the saints in the various ministries and disciplines of the church. Most teachings in the church, such as effective evangelism, teachings on marriage, raising kids, living pure lives, etc. are all done at movement meetings. It is the responsibility of the various movements to enlighten their members in their respective areas to contribute to their growth and maturity.

The teachings received at the various movement meetings constitute to the edification of the individual members who make up the church. It is therefore imperative to joint at least, one, if not two of the movements that pertain to you.

You may then ask, which of them do I join? Please click on the above links to read about each movement to decide which pertains to your needs as an individual.

We are the Evangelistic wing of the church, where effective evangelism is taught and undertaken.  Our main objective is Soul-Winning.  We are also responsible to encourage New Converts to build up their faith once they accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.  Another area of responsibility is to follow up on new converts and backsliders.  Visitation and counseling is another spot of operation.  Besides, church principles, tenets and constitution are also taught at our classes.  In-depth study of the Bible and exploration of other biblical mysteries are all studied at witness classes.

How to perform the various activities in the church, such as chorus leading, conducting services, worship leading, etc. are also treated to produce dynamic and active members in the local assemblies.  We pray for the growth of the church and intercede for the afflicted, the sick, the lost, etc.  We also train the youth and the singles among us to live pure lives and to effectively serve the Lord while single.  We also organize interesting programs such as marriage seminars, debates, quizzes, drama, symposia, etc. for the equipping of the saints.

In short, if you need to become a good and effective steward for God, you are very welcome to join us.  We are the only ministry in the church which is not restricted nor limited to any specific group of people.  Our membership includes men, women, adult, youth, pastors, elders, deacons, deaconesses, and members.  Everyone is welcome!!

As the name portrays, this is purposely for the children in the church.  Our main goal is to train up the children in the fear and knowledge of t he Lord.  We teach the scripture and character studies of some notable biblical young characters who were taught the fear of God and grew up to become famous individuals in the society.

Among the popular lessons taught in a typical children’s Sunday school class are: obedience, respect, humility, bible quotations/recitations, drama, etc.  Another purpose of this Movement is to train the children to become future leaders of this great church.

Every child in this church is an automatic member of this ministry

Originally known as the “Timothy Class” of the Children’s movement, this movement is specifically for the teenage group.  Sandwiched between the children and adult groupings, the youth faced with identification and cultural dilemmas, which threatened their spiritual viability. The teachings at the children’s Sunday school were too elementary for their standard, and yet the teachings of the adult movements were far too advanced for their maturity.  For these reasons among others, the youth movement was established in the church for the development of age appropriate programs to meet the needs of this teenage group.

Lessons taught at a typical youth class are directed to encourage the youth to live pure and holy lifestyles and to flee youthful lusts.  Lessons are primarily based on biblical character studies on the lives of Joseph, Daniel, David, Timothy, Samuel, etc. The teenagers are also exposed to the works and gifts of the Holy Ghost, the various ministries in the church and the need to develop strong relationship with God.

In short, the youth movement prepares the teenagers for the future responsibilities in their service to God, the church and productive citizens in the society.  Every teenager  in the church belongs to this group.

Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) has long been a body of the church, which unifies students and alumni and equips them for service in God’s Kingdom business. Its evangelistic roots trace back to its origin in Ghana, (West Africa) and have led to the establishment of PENSA in many institutions of higher learning. In the late 1990’s, as the Church of Pentecost began to grow in the US, and as the growth in African immigrants in the US soared, it became apparent that a generational shift was inevitable, and that efforts needed to be made to attune the “Joshua Generation” that would come after the original generation to the great God of their fathers. This Movement is purposely for the women in the church, as the name depicts.  Our main goals are to encourage the women to build strong prayer life to enable us achieve our role of praying for the church and its leaders; and to help us build a strong spiritual family life, to enable us function as good wives and mothers, thus becoming shining examples as Christian women in the society.

We meet to pray for the growth of the church and also to intercede for the ministers, and the leaders of the church.  We also do character studies of notable women in the bible to emulate their rich character to enhance our Christian lives.

Beside the above spiritual aspects, we learn the role of women in the home and in the church; good housekeeping, personal hygiene, raising kids, cooking, nutrition, good grooming, and other domestic issues.

If you want to become a good Christian woman, wife, mother, worker, etc. in your community, we encourage you to come and join us.  In fact, all the women in the church are recognized as members of this Movement.  So if you are a female in the Church of Pentecost and are over the age of fifteen, you are counted as a member of this Movement, so get involved!
